Transcription // interview with BBART Digital
Can you please tell us a little about yourself?
My name Kristian Levin, also known as noCreative, a 3D artist based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Over the past 15 years, I have honed my skills across various creative disciplines, including traditional art and fine arts photography. My artistic style is distinguished by its striking and highly detailed 3D cloth and interior/environment work.
Through my art, I explore the intersection of architectural spaces and textiles, a theme that has been a constant presence throughout my career. As an artist, I have established myself as a thought leader, collector, and curator within the NFT art community. I have had the honor of exhibiting my work at various venues worldwide, showcasing my passion and dedication to my craft.
What sets Bloom apart from other digital artist groups?
Bloom represents a collective of exceptional creative talents hailing from the NFT industry, who bring their expertise to bear across a diverse range of disciplines and technologies. With a shared guiding principle of putting art first, the founding members are committed to bridging the physical and digital art domains through their exceptional creations.
With a razor-sharp focus on defining the pinnacle of quality, originality, and innovation in both NFTs and traditional art forms, Bloom leverages the extensive commercial experience of its members, totaling over 100 years. At its core, Bloom is a design and art-led collective, steadfastly committed to upholding the highest standards of quality, integrity, and diversity. We take pride in our work and are committed to pushing the boundaries of artistic expression in ways that captivate and inspire.
How do you collaborate within the group, and how do you decide which projects to work on together?
The Bloom collaboration revolves around the effective management of opportunities. It is a platform that upholds the highest standards, encourages exploration of both the NFT and traditional art spaces, and most importantly, promotes community growth and development.
The members are committed to working together on a range of projects, both big and small.
Collaboration and cooperation are key tenets of Bloom, enabling us to achieve our shared goals and elevate each other in the art world.
How do you balance artistic expression with commercial success in your work?
As a professional digital artist, my artistic endeavors have been primarily shaped by my extensive experience in the commercial industry. While my personal art is certainly influenced by my professional career, it remains a distinct entity in its own right.
In contrast to the demands of client-driven work, my personal art is a reflection of my unwavering commitment to integrity and passion. I approach each artwork with a steadfast dedication to excellence, prioritising artistic vision over fleeting trends and never compromising on quality.
How do you see Bloom evolving or growing in the future?
The members of Bloom share a common vision of elevating the collaboration beyond the digital realm of web3. They aspire to establish Bloom as a respected and prominent entity in the art world, with members recognised as thought leaders, pioneers, and renowned artists of the twenty-first century.
Through our collective efforts and unwavering dedication to artistic excellence, we strive to make a lasting impact on the art world. To leave a lasting legacy that will inspire future artists. Our ultimate goal is to create a lasting presence that will live past the present moment and continue to shape and inspire the artistic landscape.
Your artwork is known for its vivid and otherworldly colors. How do you use colour to create a specific mood in your work?
Colour theory and look development have been the central focus throughout my career. Through extensive study and practice, this area of expertise has become ingrained in my creative process and as a fundamental aspect of my artistic vision.
When approaching a new concept for an artwork, I begin by conceptualising the artwork in my mind, the colours, hues and tones will most often already be carefully considered and planned before I even start. This intuitive and deliberate approach allows me to execute my creative vision with precision and intentionality, resulting in an artwork that is not only what I envisioned but also conceptually coherent.
Many of your pieces incorporate themes of technology and nature. How do you see these two concepts intersecting in your work?
The human desire to dominate and manipulate nature has captivated me since I was child. As we continue to encroach upon and exploit natural environments, we often view nature as a mere commodity, failing to recognize its intrinsic value and beauty.
We tend to objectify specific parts of it. Whilst destroying huge chunks of it and hardly noticing the act.
Through works such as SYNTHETIC and EN ROUTE, I aim to shed light on this pressing issue, urging viewers to reflect upon our actions. In many of my other works, you will also often find me depicting nature reclaiming abandoned and desolate spaces. As an artist, I hope to spark conversations and raise awareness about our relationship with the environment.
Can you talk about any other upcoming projects or releases that you are particularly excited about?
I am thrilled to announce that I have several exciting projects and collaborations in the works, both as a member of Bloom and in partnership with other digital artists.
One of these collaborations involves an exceptionally gifted artist whose clever and imaginative approach to her art inspires me a great deal. While I am unable to provide more details at this time due to the terms of the nondisclosure agreements, I am confident that these upcoming projects will turn into something extraordinary. In addition to these collaborations, I am of course committed to creating more personal artworks as time allows. Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting projects in the near future.
